Never Fail Sugar Cookies

Servings: 2-3 dozen cookies

1 C butter, softened
1 C sugar
3 T milk (2%)
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
3 C flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
½ tsp salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine butter, sugar, milk, eggs and vanilla in a large bowl. Stir until well mixed. Sift flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt into mixture. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Use additional flour and rolling pin to roll out dough to ¼-inch thickness. Cut into shapes with cookie cutters. Bake about 10 minutes. Frost if desired. Enjoy!
